It's stuck on the Windows Starting screen for about 30 seconds, usually it only takes a few seconds.

I'm on Windows 7 and was messing around with the fan settings in the BIOS. I don't think that's it since I changed to back default settings to make sure.

Any idea on what's going on?

Edit: I updated to Windows 10 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Edit: Tried safe mode. It was stuck on loading files for a long time also.

1.Check start-up programs, they can increase the boot-up time. You might have to disable some of them...

2.Check your HDD, it defines the boot-up time.If the hard drive has any problem then that's it.
Damaged HDD often gets system load much slower.

3.Scan your PC for malwares. Infected system can be the answer to your question

Let me know if this helps :)

1) That's not it. I didn't install any new programs.
2) How do I do this?
3) Didn't help.

You should download HD Tune. This is a software specially created to test HDD for errors.
