Solved Computer Waking From Sleep Every 10 min. W/Out Monitor Turning On

I hope someone on this forum can help! Yesterday I noticed that while the computer is in sleep mode, it will wake up every ten minutes, stay on for a minute or two, and then go back to sleep for another ten minutes. The monitor doesn't come on, just the keyboard (lighted keyboard). Around the same time I noticed that issue, I also noticed that the Windows Install Updates shield (right next to shut down button) is constantly visible, even after updates have been installed and computer has been rebooted. I don't know what's going on. I've tried to look for answers online but am overwhelmed. I'm not tech savvy so please dumb it down for me.

One thing that seems important to mention is that when clicking on "Show Available Updates" in the Windows Updates section of my computer, there is an update for Windows 10 Home and it is always checked off. I will un-check it, close the window and reopen it only to find it checked off again seconds later. I do not want to install windows 10 at this time, and tried to google how to remove that update. I tried to uninstall update KB3035583, but see that it is still listed right next to the Windows 10 Home update. Something is telling me that a possible automatic Windows 10 upgrade may be causing the Update Shield to always be visible, possibly causing the waking computer, but cannot find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks for trying to help me! I tried to pull the info in the wake log when I knew for sure no one was using the computer, and can see that an entry was made about every ten minutes. I checked a couple of them and they say the same thing, Wake Source: Timer - svchost.exe

Two additional pieces of info which may help when I looked at the details for this Wake Source are: WakeTimeOwner\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\System32\svchost.exe

WakeTimerContext uauserv (When scrolling through the various events, this entry seems to always be a little different)

As a test, disconnect any connected device (ex: external hard drive, USB flash drive, printer, etc...) to see if it still does this afterwards. If not, then one of these items is the culprit.

If that doesn't help, then check to be sure that the Media Center, network adapter, and any devices you don't want to be able wake the computer are set to not be allowed to do so to see if that may help.

I figured out what the problem was (I hope). Before trying the suggestions posted here, I wanted to try and troubleshoot why the updates shield wasn't going away near the shut down button, so I looked at my Windows Updates and saw that I had a couple important updates to install, plus two Windows 10 updates which I decided to hide. After installing the updates successfully, and rebooting my computer, the shield finally disappeared! I then put the computer to sleep and waited to see if it would come back on after ten minutes, and it didn't.

I really appreciate you taking the time to try and help me!! Greatly appreciated!! I wanted to post what helped me in case someone else is experiencing the same issue. Thanks!!
