This is a very odd problem that I have never encountered before. The computer shuts down perfectly fine if it hasn't been put to sleep at any point during use. The only thing I have tried is updating the BIOS and that didn't change anything. If anyone could shed some light on this issue I would greatly appreciate it. :D

Have you received any error messages?

Also try opening CMD and typing shutdown -s -t 0
