Computer won't boot now after installing windows 10

Hi. I have a couple of issues actually and I was wondering if you guys could help me.

Specs:
i7 6700k
Msi z170a gaming pro
SSD (I think it's samsung)
2Tb HDD (Toshibia)
Monitor is the 144 asus vg248qe (i think it's called that)

1. The most important: When I got my computer prebuilt it worked. After 7 months I decided to play with bios to see somehow if I could add more features and just learn more and the bios. I restored it to default (horrible mistake) and it told me it would change a load of settings. It still worked but I noticed that my boot order had tons of more devices which were duplicates like I had USB Cd and CD-ROM andthe worst change was my bios resolution was at 1024x768. It looks pixelated compared to the 1920x1080 i had before. So I was curious if there's any fix to reload cyberpowerpc bio settings and get my resolution back?

2. I tried to fresh install windows as I thought i got a virus and made usb first boot, then in the usb windows installer I formatted both of my drives. I installed and it worked fine until i noticed my ssd was disk 1 andnot disk 0. I tried to redo the same operation of reinstalling but before I installed I noticed it still said disk 0 was my hdd and not my ssd which is c drive. I got my cd i got with the computer and i still saw disk 0 as hdd so I installed it on disk 1 c drive. After installing it and changing boot order it gave me a error saying volume and a bunch of numbers. Now it's stuck in a loop of installing windows and giving the error. Bios won't recognize my ssd in the boot order but it does in the sata.

I seriously don't know what do and if you need more clarification please don't hesitate to ask.

I think that every change you did are making it worst to recover.
You have to give us more information of your computer. Is it a Cyberpower PC or is it a one you build?
If a Cyberpower, what is the model ID? If one you build, what is the motherboard ID?
As you changed the BIOS settings to default it can be that the settings needed to make your system work properly has changed, so the fist thing you have to do is to set BIOS properly.
Modern MB has an option to save and load BIOS settings as a profile file. If you get this profile file you can load it to have your BIOS as it was before. You can ask Cyperpower to send you this file or go to retail store and on an exactly same computer generate a profile file on a USB flash disk.
Z170 MB has a M.2 PCIe slot that you can attach a M.2 SSD drive. It isn't a SATA drive and maybe is why your SSD isn't shown as disk 0.
What kind of Windows installation disk you have? Is it a retail copy or a factory recover disk?
Can you open the side cover of your computer or it has a seal that voids the warranty if it's broken?

As I can figured out, you aren't very familiar to computer settings. And it can be very difficult to you to have your computer working as it was. As it's a new computer, my suggestion is to send it to a Cyberpower authorized repair.

Hi,
Yep I would optimize defaults again and take some pictures then

Likely if it came with a ssd and hdd installed they may have had a Raid going on so indeed I would consult with the seller/ builder for advice they would know "if they remember" how they configured the bios to get win-7 on the machine and how they traditionally configure a ssd and hdd before installing windows.

Hi,
Don't worry about the bios resolution bit for now you can change that later once you get back up and running again
take some screen shots later too of the bios settings...

Okay haha, I know it sounds like I worry about the smallest things but I want things to be organized.

So assuming I disconnect my hdd (keyboard and mouse should be fine right?) and boot my usb installer, I go to the file location to install windows I see my ssd as the only option and then after it boots up on my ssd running windows I plug my HDD back in right and then I would fix my bios resolution?

Not sure if it posted, but I don't see it so I'll say it again. This is what I do once I'm home:

Disconnect hdd, boot up from usb and install on SSD then once windows starts running I plug back in HDD?

Hi,
Yes that sounds correct :)
You might get a check disk popup message about the hdd but it should be okay after it completes it's check.
It might be easier to connect the hdd using a exterior enclosure and connected via a usb port but shouldn't be necessary until you reformat the hdd or clean it...

I would still guess the builder... set it up as a Raid configuration which isn't necessary really most people do not need the added complications.

Also just to get win-7 installed they had to jump through some hoops to get win-7 installed on a skylake processor so with that and now you're on 10 anyway the bios settings are no longer needed
But 10 was upgraded with those bios changes :)

Now you can reset your bios and clean install 10 without any issues on skylake.
The tutorial should be pretty clear if you have issue post on tenforum's I'm sure someone can help :)
Cheers.

Only problem that is left is when I reset my bios it gave me the 1024 resolution. I looked around on the web but couldn't find anything to change the resolution. Do you know any fixes?

Hi,
I'm not familiar with skylake or msi bios I believe that is the brand mother board you have ?
Usually it's a setup when you first start the machine using F2 and the drivers dvd I believe where you select language and interface color....
I just looked at my asus x99 and couldn't find anything on resolution or bios interface options at all unfortunately
All I know is to enter setup you might use F2 it didn't do anything but enter the bios again same as the delete key does :(

Don't RESET your BIOS. It may have a factory profile in it.
I've downloaded the manual for the Msi z170a gaming pro MB. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z170A-GAMING-PRO.html#down-manual.
As mentioned, detach the sata cable from the HDD.
1-Enter BIOS settings pressing Delete key during POST.
2- On page 42 of the manual it has the profile menu that I mentioned before. Se if your MB has a profile saved so you can restore your BIOS from Cyberpower. If it does, load the profile and go to step 5
3- On page 41 press the XMP button to load memory XMP.
4- Press F7 to enter advanced mode.
5- On page 47 make sure Windows 8.1/ 10 WHQL Support is enabled.
6- On page 48 set secure boot to disabled.
7- Place the Installation disk on the drive.
8- Save bios settings and boot,
9- During POST press F11 to enter boot menu.
10- Select the installation drive in UEFI mode.
11- Follow instructions.
