Computers can't see each other

Hey

I have three computers connect to a home network:
PC1 - Win XP desktop with wired connection. IP = 192.168.1.67
PC2 - Win 7 Ultimate x64 desktop with wirelss connection. IP = 192.168.1.64
PC3 - Win 7 Ultimate x32 laptop on wireless. IP = 192.168.1.75
Router is a Thomson one which came with my isp (Telecom New Zealand)

I've a few issues with it all..

  1. PC1 CANNOT see, ping or connect to any of the other computers.
  2. PC2 and PC3 CAN ping and connect to PC1 but cannot see it (when you explore network in explorer.)
  3. PC2 and PC3 CANNOT see, ping or connect to each other.
NB: they are all on the same workgroup.

What I want to happen is for each computer to connect to and see the other computers, and currently, this isn't happening :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated in fixing this wee issue.

When you are pinging, are you pinging the IP Addresses? Or are you pinging the computer name?

Are the IP Addresses set manually? Or are they being autoconfigured by DHCP?

I'm going run then computer name, and also pinging the ip in cmd prompt. I get this result when PC2 pings PC3...

It also happens when PC3 pings PC2, except ips are swapped
Are the IP Addresses set manually? Or are they being autoconfigured by DHCP?

Ok, so Destination Host Unreachable is kind of interesting. What it means is that Windows doesn't know how to find the host, not that it can't ping it. This means there is no route to the subnet for some reason.

Please post the output of a ipconfig /all on all 3 PC's, as well as a "route print" for all 3.

First thing I notice is that you have Hamachi installed on PC1, and it's configured. This may be interfering with things.

Next thing I notice is that you have IPv6 enabled. I've seen this interfere, especially with wireless routers. Try going into your network adapter settings and unchecking the IPv6 checkboxes. Make sure you reboot.

Finally, the IP Addresses listed in the ipconfig /all are not the same IP addresses that you posted. Were you pinging the wrong addresses?

Before i did all that i had reset the router and restarted all the pcs, that could be why. And ill change himachi and ipv6 when i get home

Win 7 will not talk to XP 'puters through 'homegroup' setup - simple as that
(unless they fixed this recently)

I was connecting from Win8 to Win7. All had been well, but following a Netgear adapter fail I had to buy a new one. Using the new adapter they could no longer see each other. Turning off IPv6 fixed it. Thanks - I lost hours trying to work this out. :D
