connect 2 routers but with gues and standard network

i successfully connected an old g-router to my Netgear DGN3300 with the help of this tutorial.

But the old router does not have guestnetwork (I do have very secure normal network, and a separate guestnetwork on the DGN 3300). If i buy a new router that has guestnetwork (even if it is the same DGN3300), will that also enable both networks on the accesspoint-router? I would think so, but want to be sure before i buy a new one.

I will have to look at the link more tomorrow but if each device is on a different subnet then yes your local network is secure. If they are the same then guest network can most likely access your local PC's.
Example.
192.168.1.2 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0
And
192.168.2.2 with subner mask 255.255.255.0 are on 2 different networks.

Then
192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.1 with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 are on the same network.
