Consider replacing your battery - Dell, Win7

Hey Guys,
I am trying to remove this warning "Consider replacing your battery".. just to figure out if its fake or genuine.. help me out with this...
I tried to change critical battery level percentage to 0.. but I could not...

Apparently this is a known issue with some laptops. Dell and Microsoft TechNet both have threads discussing the problem.

I haven't gone through all the posts to see if there's a definite fix, but it doesn't look like it considering there are eleven parts to the TechNet thread with the last post in October 2012.

The issue...your battery is almost dead. It is not some fake message. If Windows says your battery is nearing the end of its life it is because the hardware, the battery in this case has said it is. Windows is only reading what the hardware tells it. If the hardware is lying then you have bigger issues.

Either you listen to the warning and replace your battery, or you ignore it until your battery no longer last for a minute. There is no fix for Windows, because Windows is only reporting what the hardware tells it. And it is not going to second guess the hardware.

* Another might be malware so you should run a scan just in case

* Also be aware, if you live in a hot climate, your batteries will die much sooner. Lithium-ion batteries, like those used in your laptop, are sensitive to heat.
