Constant BSOD, Thinking of shooting my computer...

I'm a little (ok a lot) computer illiterate, so please go easy on me. I'm constantly getting BSOD on Win 7. Sometimes it happens up to 15 times in a row. Sometimes it just completely freezes and doesn't do anything. I originally had Vista on here but DBAN'd it when I came home from my deployment and put 7 on it. Could someone be so kind as to help me with this? Thanks.

Here's what I do know:

HP Pavilion Media Center m8200n PC
NVIVDIA GeForce 8600 GT
AMD Athlon (tm) 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.00GHz
3 GB RAM
64 bit OS
Win 7 Premium

Thanks guys! I hear you're the best.

Can you find out what the bsod message says?
If the message doesn't stay there long enough then hold F8 During startup and use the arrow keys to highlight disable automatic restart on system failure.

Also, if you can get windows to work at all, dump info with this.

Hello !! Welcome to SF !!

I believe Norton i.e. BHDrvx64.sys has caused your System to crash. Uninstall Norton and use the Cleanup Tool Download and run the Norton Removal Tool and make sure you clean up all the left over entries.

You could try to reinstall it and see. I would recommend Microsoft Security Essentials it free low foot print and very effective. :)

OK, so the Norton thing helped slow the BSOD down, but I'm still having them. Here are the 2 from this morning. Any insight? Thanks guys.

Did you run this removal tool? ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

I suspect you removed a particular service, which means less Norton activity, but there are still some drivers loaded in RAM.

Follow Jonathan's advice. You will need to keep Norton off of your system while you are trouble shooting. Follow Capt Jack's suggestion and install Microsoft Security Essentials. Once you have your system running smoothly, you can try Norton again. However, I do not recommend it. I suggest you stick with MSE or install Avast.

So I completely got rid of Norton (even though I just paid 80 bucks for it) and I'm still having BSOD. I have uploaded ALL of the minidumps. Now I just feel lost.

I still see remnants of Norton. Please clear them off with this tool: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

Your nVidia graphics drivers were blamed once. I suggest uninstalling them and installing a fresh copy.
