I have been battling with BSOD's for a couple of months now. They first appeared after I installed a Hauppauge HVR 1600. A few weeks went by with no problems. I then began to get low bit rate erros while watching TV in Media Center. Shortly after that I received my first BSOD. The steps I have taken to lock down what may be causing it are as follows.
Reformatted and installed. BSOD after 2 weeks.
Deactivated the hardware. TV tuner.
Turned off services for Hauppauge
No BSOD's for a week. Then it happened, BSOD.
So i removed 2 DIM's of RAM leaving me with one stick of 2GB RAM. No BSOD's for 3 weeks.
After 2 weeks with no issues I placed one of the 2 DIMs i removed earlier back in. 4 GB of ram total. No BSOD's for 2 weeks.
I thought maybe it would be the RAM so I enabled the Haupauge TV tuner and started watching for 2 days. I just got my BSOD. Im sure its the tuner but wanted to see what you guys thought. Is there any way to fix this or work around it? Here is the problem details from the crash report.
