FileMenu Tools is a third party application that allows you to customize the context Menu of Windows Explorer. It lets you:
  • Add some built-in utilities that perform operations on files and folders.
  • Add customized commands which run external applications, copy or move to a specific folder, or delete specific file types.
  • Configure the "Send to..." sub-menu.
  • Enable or disable commands which are added by other applications to the context menu.
Also, take a look at this tutorial that won't give you the exact command you're looking for, but may provide some clues as to how to set it:

I'm just about to make a new entry for one of my editors so I'll just write it up

Make sure your registry is backed up !! I never had any problems but you never know Murphy is real ;)

OK..here goes
Start regedit as Admin and go to

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell

Right click on shell and create a new key. Name it something useful like "Open with Foobar" (I use UltraEdit here)

Now right click on the just created key and create a new key under that one, which has to be named command
Now with command the active key, go to the right window, double click Default and give it the path to your program after that a space and %1

Now you can right click on any file type and have the option you want.

Does it work ??? (i don't have a 64 Bit system right now so I'm not too sure about the differences in the registry but this is basic stuff the should be identical for all versions of Se7en and Vista
Of course there is always more than one way to skin a cat.
I create mine always in
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell like my picture showed

If your method works, stick with it, if not...try mine :D
Of course you know if you right click on any file, foobar can't handle don't expect anything useful to come from that. I used this method for my editors since they can handle whatever I throw at them. Like UE can open EXE/DLLs etc like a HEX editor in case I have to "hard core" patch.

You could always place a shortcut in the 'Send To' folder, which will show up in the Send To fly out menu (in the right click context menu):

C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

You can set this up in foobar preferences without any bother: On "Shell Integration": tick "Folder context menus" and you see "Play in foobar" in the folder context menu. Tick "Register supported file formats on startup" and all the filetypes that foobar supports will show "Play in foobar" in file context menu. If you only want specific filetypes, untick the "Register...." box, click on "Manage filetype associations" and then tick the selected filetypes you want.

Thanks for pointing that out!!
+1
It only makes sense to have it in the preferences. I just couldn't figure out why so many people were missing that feature.
I don't use foobar so all I could suggest was a generic approach.

Some media players hold on to file associations very aggressively, so if you're using several players it might seem like your settings in sensible players like foobar don't work. Also, if you use shark007 codec's recommended settings, WMP gets all the associations; it might be keeping them there until you go in and untick that box. (not sure about that 'cause WMP is gathering dust in my setup.)
