Hello, everyone.
I need some help, these are my questions:

1) When clicking Right Click ~~> New ~~> Folder
How can i change/rename "Folder" , so that when i click right click and then New it's not "Folder" but the name that i chose?

2) How can i add an application (for example: Firefox) to the context menu?

BTW, I'm using Windows 7.

Thanks soooo much in advance.

Download ResHacker 3.6.0

Go to C:\Windows\System32\en-US. Take ownership of and then copy shell32.dll.mui to a new folder for modifying.

If you have 64bit Windows 7:

Go to C:\Windows\System32\en-US as well and do the same as above, will have to be a different folder as they're the same name.

Open a shell32.dll.mui file in Reshacker. Under String Tables, expand the string table # 1900 and then change the string entry # 30396 from "New folder" to "Whatever". This will be its given name when created. At the top press the compile button then under the file menu select "Save".

If you want to change "Folder" in the context menu "New" window then expand the string table # 1895 and change the string entry # 30317 from "&Folder" to "Whatever". Note this may change wherever you see the word "folder", this option I haven't used, but it works!! Again select Compile and then Save.

Do the same with the other shell32.dll.mui file if you have 64bit.

Back to the original folders, rename the shell32.dll.mui files to shell32old.dll.mui and replace with your modified ones.

Simples!! :)

NOTE!! You personally will only have the one file to edit.

@ Julian Strange
Thanks for replying, is there another way to do this without using any program. I'm asking this cuz it was given to me as a homework for university and I'm not really sure if she want us to use any program.
Anyway, thanks again.

LivingLegend, are you looking to create a new folder, but have the name "folder" different on the context menu? Or do you just want to add a new choice to the New menu? A Guy
