Continual BSODs, hope you guys can assist.

Hope you guys can help out, thanks a bunch for your time. I've just about done everything I can, myself.

I'm using retail x64 Pro (Really hope I don't need a reinstall as the key that came with it wasn't recognised and I had to get a MS technician to remotely connect to activate my copy) The system's just over a year old and was built to install this on, with a couple of gig of DDR1333, a Phenom II x2 550 and some decent drives.

This is doubly annoying as the system acts as the network's router, with all the other systems connecting through the switch hooked up to its secondary ethernet port, and it linked in to the cable modem directly. So right now I have no network, as ICS doesn't seem to run in safe mode. I suppose I'd best get round to replacing the PSU on my Ubuntu box that used to handle router functions. So much for my constant extolling of the virtues of Win7 as the most stable Windows ever (Though it IS still the only Windows that seems capable of restarting itself after a bluescreen, even if it does get caught in an infinite crashloop)

I keep getting bluescreens about 10 seconds after windows loads. It also happens about half the times I try and load up windows in safe mode with networking enabled (Which I'm in now) in these cases an IRQL not less than or equal error is the most common one. The problems started yesterday. Unfortunately, yesterday a trojan got on my system (not that it was a very GOOD one, since I became aware of it from the fact that windows was reporting that the trojan's executable had crashed every 5 minutes) - MBAM fixed that (With a Spybot S&D and AVG full scan into the bargain in case MBAM missed anything - it hadn't) but unfortunately, about 12 hours later my crash problems began. And of course the antivirus had purged my system restore history, to prevent reinfection...

Unfortunately, while I can run perfmon, perfmon /report gives the error

Also - no new hardware has been installed since I built the system, and it's rare that I install any software. I did uninstall Daemon Tools as it was said to sometimes cause nt kernel issues like mine, but no such luck.

In fact, while you guys deal with this, I may go and install Ubuntu on my secondary drive, just so I have a working, usable system for the time being.

Please remove any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads
You can use MagicDisc as an alternative.

Remove any Zone Alarm Software, use the Removal Tool to completely remove it

Removing Daemon just switched my errors to IRQL not less than or equal ones. However, I will run the ZA removal one right now to make sure that's fully gone. That piece of crap kept crashing itself on boot. I only had it a few days.
Wish me luck on the reboot. My last couple of attempts to boot into safe mode also bluescreened.

As for ATI tools - can you recommend me an alternative to it for setting the brightness and colour balance of my secondary monitor? That one's really dark and needs a major gamma boost to be usable. (Also I doubt ATI tools is at fault here as I've used it since the computer was built with no problems)

Looking for a new ethernet driver now. (Though my device manager recognises them as a D-link and an Atheros one - no VIA one.)

*Edit* Okay, I'm in normal mode now - so far so good. Seems Windows Firewall has started blocking all network traffic using my ICS though, so it's about time I replaced Zonealarm and got a real firewall. Recommendations on a free one?

Looking for a new ethernet driver now.

Remove it temporarily for troubleshooting purposes until your get the BSODs fixed, you can reinstall it later

Upload any new dumps file BSODs occur again

Well, that's an hour of uptime. Still, not having a firewall is inviting far worse. Really need to decide on one...

Alas, I can't. As it unilaterally blocks my LAN even on the lowest possible security settings. Going for something I can manually configure. OA seems to have decent reviews, so I'm trying that.

Well, the bluescreens are back. Ever since I tried resetting winsock to try and fix my other problem... As soon as I get to the windows loading screen - bluescreen with an IRQL NOT LESS THAN OR EQUAL error....
