I fixed the problem, I unmounted the drive in Ubuntu, formatted, deleted the whole partition (it was only one), then went back to the windows 7 install, re-installed the drivers and voila, it found my HDD. Wish I could sage this, but I felt the need to post the soltuion incase anyone else has the same problem. Thanks.
