Copy folder view settings to a folder on another drive

It seems that when you perform...

Folder Options -> View -> Apply to Folders

It only does this for folders on the same drive.

Is there a way to copy the view settings across drives?

Weird.
It works on my W7 install across multiple drives/partitions.
Sometimes it doesn't instantly apply though.

Perhaps a reboot might fix the issue.

It definitely does not work across drives for me. Rebooting makes no difference.
