I booted up my computer earlier today only to see that my computer cannot locate my operating system. After running a memory test with memtest86, no errors were reported. After sitting in front of my computer frustrated I put in my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit OEM disc and tried running a Start Up Repair and I noticed in the repair description "Root cause found: Partition table is corrupt on disk/Device/Harddisk0."
The Start Up Repair did nothing and I am stuck where I began. Is it possible to recover my OS without doing a full re-install? Also, seeing how I have a OEM disc, will I need an entire new key just to re-install my OS?
This is highly frustrating. If any kind soul can help out a fellow nerd in need, please help me.
Note: I had crash problems before all this and everything I did is in this thread:
