Not many if any of these. there is a site that covers this. you must be careful when stopping services. Yourcomputer may work fine and 6 months later you try to install something forgetting that the service is stopped and hose the system. with that disclaimer. the site is blackviper. good luck and back up before you do anything

My opinion:rather leave default settings - if you have any problems with bootup time you should search source of problems in your hardware, installed drivers and applications

In addition to the information already provided. If you go to services and click on the service under review, you can determine its importance. Click on the tab dependancies and find out what depends on the servie and what function depends on the service.

That being said, I agree with the poster, who has commented that unless you are sure of the function it might be best to leave it alone. In any event, make an system image and put it in a safe place. In addition, I would create a list of all changes made. Trust me, if you do not do this, you will be using that system image.

Leave services alone. In 7, quite a few trigger as necessary. You don't want to fiddle for no reason, especially with services.

Many of us lived by Black Viper's service edits in Xp and the early Vista debacle, but really there isn't much to turn off now because MS took the hint and put most services in 7 on quick triggers.

I probably had 20 in XP and Vista I'd reset, but only Tablet input and Offline Files get my attention now (small potatoes).

Welcome to the best operating system yet.
