Couple questions about recording

When you set a tv program to record do you have to keep wmc running or does it kick in with a scheduler?

Can you watch another program while its recording?

You don't have to have Windows Media Center open to record a scheduled program. It will just record it.


If you have 2 tuners, then you can watch one channel while recording another..

You can watch another program on the tv as a different program is recording on the tuner card, because the tv provides the other tuner.

yeah but i think he wanted to know about recording on the computer, if you have a single tuner on the pc you can either record a show or watch a show but not both at the same time. thats why i think its best to have 3 tuners
