Solved CPU Usage 30-40% open task manager 0%

Hey there, When i open my task manager, it shows 30-40% CPU usage but instantly drops to 0-3%
I've seen problems like this before, could possibly be a virus, I've ran scans but they have came up with nothing, i know its not "normal" for this to happen, as it hasn't happened before
Any help is much appreciated, apologies if I've posted in the wrong place!

Hello, seems perfectly normal. Exact same behavior here, on several different pc's, no virus or problems.

It never used to do that, only up until recently, i was playing through hitman absolution and it was running fine, then this cpu issue started and its running like crap now, all gfx drivers are up to date etc

I notice this every time I open Task Manager and that is quite often. It is completely normal.

Most Windows processes have a rather heavy workload when they begin to run and Task manager is no exception. In addition to the normal things that every process must do when it starts Task Manager must obtain a great deal of information about each process in the system. Some of these things are quite time consuming (relatively speaking) but fortunately only need to be done once for each process.

I am speaking as an amateur programmer so have some knowledge of these things.
