Crackling and dragging sound

I have a Toshiba M45 S359 and upgrade to Windows 7 from XP and I get horrible crackling sound. Installed the latest realtek a97 drivers, but no avail.

Anybody have a fix?

Did you install the sound drivers from Realtek or Toshiba?

I did. I iinstalled the latest AC97 drivers and even tried the XP ones (which weren't compatible) and i still get bad sound. I tried other stuff in other threads, but no avail.
