So, here's the problem. Got a case with W7 32bit ultimate. After I restart it from the start menu, the machine restarts but windows doesn't load (before the logo). The screen is blank and there is no cursor or anything. Pressing the power button to turn it off and then on works fine and W7 loads up.

So, how to fix this restart issue? The other day I used TestDisk and installed the intel's MBR but... the system crashed and asked for a repair. The repair fixed the MBR but not the restart issue.

Help

Thank you

Welcome to SF.

Please complete your System Specs.

Did you have the same OS installed beforehand without trouble?

Check the device manager for any yellow warnings.

Did you do anything to the MBR before the problem occurred?

If you do a warm boot and cold boot, do you get the same results?

Do you have the original OS disks?

I have the same OS installed on another PC and no issues. I have the OS disc. I am unable to write my default system specs, because I have more than one computer and If I have questions about the other PCs, the specs won't be the same. The specs on this machine are:

Operating System
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
CPU
Intel Pentium D 820
SmithField 90nm Technology
RAM
2.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 265MHz (4-4-4-12)
Motherboard
Hewlett-Packard 09F8h (XU1 PROCESSOR)
Graphics
W2042 @ 1680x1050
Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
Hard Drives

Optical Drives
CNKRY 096R8DIN SCSI CdRom Device
LITE-ON DVD SOHD-16P9S ATA Device

No issues in device manager. I did not touch the MBR untill the other day when installing the Intel's MBR (I had issues on another PC after using Ubuntu with loading XP and fixed it with the TestDisk, so I thought that the MBR was the issue and tried it. The system refused to load but I fixed it with the OS's disk; however, the issue with restarting remained).

I had issues when installing W7 on this PC. It came with XP and when I installed W7 it did not recognize the integrated Audio card. And as you can see I bought a USB audio. If that could help.

It seems that you don't care very much, so I'll try somewhere else.

Nice. And you expect some help?

...and you expect respect? You had the time for a useless reply but not to view my question. At least one "I/we don't know" could have worked. This website doesn't seem to be as helpful as it looks like. Have a nice day.
