CreateDC

Thanks for any help.
Is CreatDC still valid in Windows 7 pro?

This is what I have coded:
dis db 'DISPLAY',0
invoke CreateDC, dis, NULL, NULL, NULL
Masm32 doesn't seem to like it.

Have a look at this: CreateDC function

So, from what I can make out, it should read CreateDC(dis,NULL,NULL,NULL)

Thank you Dwarf for responding.
Yes I know about the Microsoft API CreateDC.
Was questioning the currency of the API.
It doesn't work on Windows 7 pro.
Gives an error with NO detail.
Deleted the CreateDC and the program fiunctioned normally.
