In Windows Explorer, while viewing files and folders;

I want to be able to create a copy of the file, with an option when I right click.
(Instead of choosing Copy at right click, and then again right clicking in Windows Explorer and choosing Paste). (This is not my main problem, but it is still in my mind as a question.)

And also my main problem is Windows 7 is creating the pasted file name as "Filename - Copy" in the same folder with the original in it, but I do not want any spaces or even the dash.
Can I modify it somehow to create the pasted filenames as 'FilenameCopy' instead of 'Filename - Copy'?

Thanks.

I don't think you can do that. All you can do is then right click on the copied file and select Rename or select it with the left mouse button then hit F2 (rename also),

You can also drag-and-drop while holding the Ctrl key to create a copy instead of right-click > copy, right-click paste. The file name will be the same, though.

Thanks for this one CreepinJesus! It is a useful hint. I have always used Ctrl (and Shift) to change the option from/to copy/move, but never used it the way you described.
