I am trying to create a scheduled task for SyncToy 2.1 using the Win 7 task scheduler and the instructions included in the Help section of Synctoy. It should be simple except it doesn't work. Everything goes well until I place the path/script in "conditions". The instructions state
Might someone have an idea about why I can't get this task to work?
On Edit:
I eventually discovered that I was using the wrong path for the program address I needed to enter under the "Actions" tab wile creating the task. Once I figured out how to correct my error and where to put the necessary quotation marks and check marks the task works properly. Except for the DOS window that appears while the sync is running it will do quite nicely.
This is what I have been using for "...Cmd.exe": "C:\Installation Files\SyncToySetupPackage_v21_x64.exe" WITH the quotes because that's how the task scheduler captures it. I also include "-R" in the arguments window because the instructions indicate that should be done to run all runable folder pairs. I have tried this entry both with and without quotes. When I try to run the task manually I get an error message telling me that "An error occured attempting to install SyncToy." I'm not trying to install it, I'm trying to run it; it's already installed a working.Select Browse and locate the SyncToyCmd.exe.
Type "-R" in the Add Arguments textbox. –R all by itself will run all folder pairs that are active for run all. If you want to run just a single folder pair, add –R “My Pair” to the end of the command line.
