crossfire

hey SF,

i have some questions about crossfire. i've searched on google but i didnt seem to find what i want(for the first question, for the others i just want to be sure ^^).

okay, onto the questions:
1. how will crossfire affect the heat, right now my single 5770 is 71 degrees on full load
2. will i be able to add a different GPU as crossfire (for example, a 6970) i know i will have to upgrade PSU too then.
3. if 2. is no, does the GPU have to be the same make/brand

1. The temps will go up a bit, but ss long as you have decent airflow to begin with it shouldn't be much of a concern.

2. Different, no. They have to be within the same GPU family. This shows which work with which,

is there a way to calculate how high temps will get with the 2nd GPU in? as i would not like them to get too hot (ofcourse)

don't forget to check out your PSU loads
might need to beef up the power..

Calculating heat is a hard thing to do.
It all varies like with Stormy said air flow is the key.

the PSU should be just about enough, i calculated it and got 540 watt (my psu is 550)
