CTB Locker: Software That Specifically Targets & Protects Against ?

Hello,

Was wiped out by this CTB Locker Trojan a while ago.

Will be getting a new desktop PC with Windows 10, and would sure like it to not happen again.
Am willing to purchase, rather than just use the free versions, software to prevent it from happening
again.

Lots of really good links and suggestions on which anti-virus is good, etc. on Posts here, and on external reviews.

Really confusing.

Anyway, does anyone know of any that Specifically targets CTB Locker, and any of its variants
or "cousins" ? I guess "specifically" is the operative word.

Malware Bytes, perhaps ? Or,...?

BTW: Has anything ever been done against these folks ? Is it still making the rounds ?

Avoid the CryptoPrevent Filter Module (Beta) if you ever use the Windows native on-screen keyboard.

There is no support forum for CryptoPrevent - so you will need to get help with it here - from other users.
