Wow, Something just went crazy with the gadget

same here, frequent text garbling, and flashing too

when you get that garbled text on the bottom it usually is a browser skin setting problem. usually if you set the option to default and choose the skin from the bottom of the page it fixes it. You may need to play around but these two settings have fixed it in most users

Anyone know why my gadget will not work, I have uninstalled and reinstalled about 6 times in the past few weeks but it always looks like this when I try to open it.

Just did it all again and no joy, everything seems to work except I can't see anything as in the picture, any ideas.

What skin are you using here on the SF website ?

I am using SF Blue Wide !

Have you downloaded the gadget again & intalled it

Yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing changes. I will try the wide 7 and see if any change.

What are your gadget settings ?

Try using Mr Grim's Theme !

Ok will do, Ok changed over to Mr Grim and no change, I just noticed that since I changed over to 7 wide
that I am getting a red x where the small avatar pic is at the bot.

At certain times mine take a long time to connect to the Gadget server wherever that is ? I have waited as long as 5 to 10 mins sometimes.

How about your CPU usage % ? How many IE tabs open at one time ? How many other processes running ?

I turned off the PC and when it was rebooting it went haywire and started screeching and the noise was deafening so I turned off sound rapidly, dont know what that was all about, I have been getting random freezes lately, actually that is why I turned it off a few mins ago, it froze, nothing at all would work, I have a feeling it has something to do with the latest ATI card driver, so I am going to play with it for a while and will get back later and let you know what's happening, Thanks for the help so far.

I have the same trouble as you jfar with the gadget. Its not worked for ages and now the author seems to have gone awol again. I currently dont have it installed.
