Custom Themes, Icons and Start Buttons.

Mr. Grim could you help me change the windows "frame"
I wish to change it to "glass" like the one on your "Bluemoon theme"

and also replace the buttons (minimize,maximize,exit)
with the ones from longhorn.. the one with an upward pointing triangle(for the maximize) the one with the downward pointing triangle for (minimize)



I really wish I could try avedesk style builder but unfortunately I could only use GIMP and resourcer (the free stuff... hehehe) since I don't work yet.. and I don't have a credit card either... any chance of telling me the image numbers in it's msstyle resource?

First, I know the bmp size is supposed to be 54x54 but how big is the Orb itself supposed to be?

Reason I ask is I made one but it keeps having a brief flash of the black (transparent?) when hovering / clicking the start orb. Which I've read is because there is some pixels outside the orb part.

Secondly, How are ya'll getting the pics so clear when shrinking them? I seem to get alot of distortion on mine at times.

Also, I keep telling it to make background transparent but then after all's said and done it'll be a white background. I've seen other peoples where the background doesn't show up and I've yet to figure out why mine does this. Any ideas?

Probably have another question but atm I can't remember what it was LoL /sigh

Oh, I use Photoshop 6.0 for editing/creating.

1) Use one of the uploaded files here and paste over it.

2)Not sure really,mine seems slightly distorted aswell but they do get a bit better once you save them.

3)Once you design the orb,select the ORB itself with the circular selection orb or pen tool,which ever works best for you,copy (CTRL+C),create new layer,paste (CTRL+V).

Then hide the backround image,then flatten image and shazzam!transparent backround,or none really.

It can maybe work with 7 but it will take a lot of editing in photoshop and in VSB. It will take a lot of time, and you cant be sure you can complete it without it causing problems

Yes it is but I think the ROUNDER's is better than alkhan's . The Aero Diamond by alkhan is a bit simple , isn't it ?

just wondering if someone could make this into a start button maybe with red eyes on mouse over and 1 in green like the punisher one. Also does the button have to be round or could it be the outline of the artwork? I know the procedure to make buttons but i have never really got into photoshop and such and really cant add the glow and sharpen the image to where it will look good that small. Also i know that the detail is is not needed 54x54 (54x162 complete bmp) but just dont have the program or skill to do it. It might not even work for being so small.

Just thought you guys might be interested in these great Windows 7 VSs by Nittiyh on DeviantArt. They're two of the most unique and well-designed themes for Windows 7 so far:

he fixes it up plus redoes it for 64bit and i might give it a look. hopefully he will fix the things grim talked about as well.
