In most Win 7 installations that I've seen, in the lower right-hand corner, the time is displayed over the date. However on mine, only the time is shows, and not the date (but when I hover over the time, the date is shown)

I can't seem to find the setting that shows the date always.

Can anyone help?

Right click the taskbar > untick lock taskbar . Move mouse cursor to outside edge of taskbar until double arrow is seen then drag the taskbar away from edge of screen expanding it. Expanding the taskbar to 2 rows of icons will show this 2011-02-28_030004.png or 2011-02-28_025923.png this and 3 rows of icons will show this 2011-02-28_025848.png or 2011-02-28_030041.png this depending on which side of the screen your taskbar is on, IE: Top, Bottom, Left, Right.
