I recently upgraded to gtx 980 SC and i have a gtx 770 4gb sc and a gtx 680 laying around with no use, Would i see a performance increase in using one of these as dedicated physX card? I understand only in games that utilize it.

They do help maintain good frame rate but I'm not sure if there are much games that use it. If I were you I'd sell that GTX 770 :D

If you already have it, and have enough power to run it, why not.

But, I wouldn't invest any money into dedicated PhysX though. Not enough gain for the cost.

I would bench a game that uses PsysX both with the new single card, and again with the dedicated PhysX card to see what gains you get. Then decide if its worth the extra power consumption and heat to keep it (though it shouldn't really add much overhead at all)

Not sure if Heaven would use it but.....

Run Unigine Heaven with the 770 dedicated to PhysX, then pull it and run it again just using the 980, compare the scores.
