I installed Nero Burning Rom 11 and had window freezing/explorer shut down problems so I uninstalled the application.

I just came upon a folder C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\CrashDumps that contains 9 files named "nero.exe.xxxx.dmp" average size 41,000KB each. They are dated back to the installation/problem time period (over a month ago).

Since I no longer have the nero application on my system, can these files be manually deleted? Or, will this cause issues with whatever created or uses this data ?

Thanks

Yes, they can be deleted. As a test, you can rename them and run that way for awhile or move them to another location. Delete once your are sure nothing bad is happening.

I believe you can delete the CrashDumps folder and it's contents since it does not exist on my Win 7 Pro X64 system. It must have been created by Nero. Again, just rename CrashDumps to ChrashDumps-x and see what happens. Then delete when happy.

Those files are used by system or program to record all pertinent CPU and RAM values for debugging later. They could also be uploaded to Microsoft or program maker for analysis and fixes as well. If you don't intend to debug it itself or send it out, they can be deleted even if the program that created it is still installed on your system. If you got rid of the program, it is pure garbage.
