deleted all my favorites

Help!
For some dumb a$$ reason, I deleted all my favorites.
Is there some way to retrieve them?
System restore did not do the trick.

Hello Skostro,

You could try the free programs Recuva or ShadowExplorer to try and recover them from the file's original folder.

Sorry system restore does not return the lost favorites.


However, under the file tab, there is import, export. Export, (save, backup) to a finger drive,etc. So this does not happen again.

Then try the above post to restore.

Sorry: take the easier route. Open FF, click on <BOOKMARKS> click on <ORGANIZE BOOKMARKS> click on <IMPORT AND BACKUP> click on <RESTORE>. If you did not delete the entire backup directory, then you will see five or so dates containing your Favs as of that date - which are autosaved.

Double check with the Desktop icon settings using the tutorial below to see if you can select the Recycle Bin to add it back to Desktop.

In addition, you can also pin the Recycle Bin to the taskbar instead if you like.
