Deleting files within a theme?

As I go about learning to customize a theme, all kinds of things are happening. I've developed a theme that is made up of some pictures I've taken and placed into Picasa. However, when I placed them into the theme, I found out that these pics were not the photo processed pictures I did in Picasa. but the originals. I had loaded them into the theme instead of loading the "saved as" processed pics. So, I then loaded the processed pics into the theme and now I have doubles within the theme: originals and processed. Of course, I only want the processed pics to show. I know that this can be done by clearing all and then selecting just those that I want to show on the desktop by checking their boxes in the upper left hand corner of the thumbnail. But I don't want the duplicates to remain and I can't delete them and jsut leave the processed pics in the theme. Is there any way to delete indifidual pics from a theme, or must one delete the whole theme and start over?

Move the pictures you want to a new folder with either Windows Explorer or your photo software. Reference that new folder when you get ready to create a new theme.

So, in other words, one can't delete and/or add individual pics to an existing theme. One must start all over, anew...Right?

Navigate to C:\windows\Resources\Themes in that directory you will find your themes in folders. Inside the folders will be a folder with the images. A Guy

Or here,

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

But if it's just a .theme file you might want to just make a new one.

I've gone to both recommended sites, and unless I am missing something (which I may be), none of the file/folders (all files/folders are unhidden) that were at these locations contained individual picture files that could be deleted. So, either I need a little more help to find out how to delete individual pics from themes, or there is no way to delete such files.

Then your next option is to just create a new theme with only the pictures you want.

Did you make the theme? If so, where is the folder of pictures you used for the walls?

That is what your looking for. If you don't want all the double pictures in there,

make a new folder with just the pictures you want, and save that as your new theme.
