A CPU upgrade in a laptop is usually not very cost effective. Many laptops CPUs are soldered directly to the motherboard making user replacement all but impossible. Finding a compatible CPU can be difficult. Identical model computers are often sold with different CPUs but you cannot assume they will all be compatible with your specific computer. The manufacturer will have the most reliable information but they tend not to be very helpful. They would much rather sell you a new computer than help with upgrades.

This is general information, not specific to your computer.

Even with a socketed processor, swapping out the CPU on a laptop is not for the faint of heart.

You still have to take it apart and try to get it back together again. Often that is not an easy task.
