Personally i dont use Windows Back up,seems buggy but maybe im not trying hard enough.
Download Partiton Wizard Home Edition (i advise downloading the bootable disc and burning it incase you need it,very useful tool)
Free Download Partition Wizard

Format the Recovery partiton via PW.Click Apply
Delete Partiton.Click Apply
Expand the nearest Partiton (Right click Partiton>Resize) with the deleted space.Click Apply

Then you can use Paragon Free Backup Software: Paragon Backup & Recovery 10 Free Edition - Overview
Make a back up disc (it will fit on the one disc) and just update the disc as you see fit,it leaves you with more room on your hard drive.
I have and will again use the recovery CD,and to this day i have not had 1 problem.

Just an option.

Easy way, download this as told above. Then, just Make an image of your hard drive. Update once a month, ever have a problem, you could just go back and replace with your copy that you made from Paragon

Paragon its free.

Get yourself and external hard drive, for backup. The primary purpose of a backup is to restore when there is a major problem. Like a HD failure. If you kep the back up on the HD all is lost.

In lieu, of a HD Paragon, will let you save on DVD. IF you want to remove just delete, but why remove? Make updates to back up once a month.

the backup will be a yellow arc folder. It will be where you told the program to save it to.

No one can know that - except you.
