Hello
I have a Dell latitude E7240 and want to load Win 7 on its first partition, 97gb ntfs boot. There are other linux os on other partitions.
I have a rufus usb for boot made from iso. I have tried many ways but just get invalid partition table.
Has any one any ideas what I am doing wrong.
Help appreciated.

Interesting thread, thanks. I have a Dell Precision 3480 new/unpacked that's also a W11 comp and in the manual sez: Boot Mode: UEFI only so it seems I've no choice but to W11. Though Ubuntu seems a possibility but I've forgotten Linux from years past.

Good luck with yr quest.

Ha I have a 1TB mSATA in this Dell Latitude E6540 circa 2015 and it's a wonderful thing. As is of course the W7 Pro x64 that runs on it.

Microsoft should never have abandoned W7.
