Dell vs gateway mini....suggest me

i have a dell studio 1737 laptop whose specs are:

2.17ghz dual core intel
4gb ddr ram
vga is intel 4500mHD (256mb dedicated)
lcd size is 17.1"
OS is windows7 x64
(rest things are same in all laptops..i mean else hardware things)

now my uncle gifted me a gateway mini net-book...

its specs are:
intel atom 1.6ghz
ram 1gb
intel vga...intel GMA 950 (video memory going upto 224mb dedicated)

all i need is a little suggestion....i wna keep one n sell the other one,to buy something else,on one hand i am used to that 17inch lcd and on other hand when i used mini,i loved it,its extreme portibility and such things...
in my view the drawbacks of gateway mini which i found was:
1.its small lcd size
2.its intel atom,i have no previous experience with this chip...dun know how is its performance

from VGA point of view there is not much difference and i felt i can install windows7 on gateway mini too as its vga is enough for windows 7 support

i dun do so much graphics work,that i say i need 17inch lcd...
all i am just asking u,is gateway a reliable company that i sell my dell studio n keep gateway mini...cuz my dell is on almost 20hrs a day...will that gateway mini intel atom hold this much...

and further more if u suggest me,i will be thankful...

just some additional thing...the gateway mini lcd is more bright n colorful than dell,dun know why...may be cuz of its small size or whatever...

My opinion....

Keep them both. I have a hard time getting rid of gifts. I'd also have a hard time getting rid of the laptop over the netbook.

You never know when you'll need a back up PC.

hi awaisdell, i'm a bit of a Dell fangirl ,so i personally would keep the Dell and sell the Gateway , at least you may be able to upgrade your Dell not so sure of the upgrade ability of the mini note books
