Desktop icons disappear on "show desktop"

When you click show desktop, all the desktop icons have disappeared. Then when you mouse over where they are, the icons and names will re-appear.

Has anyone encountered this issue?

Win7 Ent x32. Recently reformatted.

Has this been going on long?

You might try a system files check.

Per another thread it was determined that the cause is
Due to a Windows Update or the SP1 RC which may be responsible for gadgets also clearing when "Show Desktop" is clicked on.

Also, I am running the scan now. Thanks for your help guys

I cant seem to put my finger on the post, now. But I was a part of the thread with the same problem. Some of the posters mentioned that they had the problem and others did not. Bottom line, not to worry, others are experiencing the same situation.
