Hi

my desktop icons layout changes frequently during work, essentially each time a new programs is installed or explorer restarts / refreshes

I have tried Iconrestorer, Desktop Ok etc : i can restore to my layout, but it is not automatic, and these changes are annoying.

Any idea ??

In right-clikc->view autoarrange IS disabled

You are welcome.

The area in the registry where this info is kept gets full or corrupted. This issue might happen to your computer again, so hang onto the fix :-)
