Advice please, on a couple of icons on my desktop.
Microsoft Safety Scanner (MSS) which I periodically use, but I also have Microsoft Emergency Response Tool (MSERT).
At some time I must have downloaded MSERT mistaking it for the MSS scanner. What is that MSERT scanner and when if ever would I use it? If I had inadvertantly scanned with it instead of using the MSS scanner, could that be detrimental to the system?
I just tumbled to the fact that there two MS scanners on the desktop.
Also, cwshredder icon - rarely use it because everytime I click on 'check for updates', it tells me that it is unable to check for updates.
These are all on-demand scanners aren't they, and can be right clicked and deleted?
Thanks in advance for your help.
