Solved Device manager does not detect sound card. Experienced builder stumped

I recently reformatted my system, and ever since my computer refuses to recognize my sound card as installed. You can see my system specs in my profile, but it is a Soundblaster Xtreme-Music card. I've updated and double checked all of my mobo drivers and I still cannot for the life of me get this card detected. I took the card out, cleaned it, and visually verified that neither the card or pci port is damaged. I am completely stumped, as this is the second computer that I've had this card in and it always works flawlessly. I would greatly appreciate any advice.

The only issue I can think of is the onboard Realtek audio hardware/drivers creating a conflict, but prior to reformatting this was never an issue.

Hi.

Remove any Soundblaster software\driver,shutdown the pc,unplug the Soundblaster,start the pc,enter bios and check if the onboard sound card is disable.


If not then disable it,save and exit,remove any left behind onboard sound card software\driver.


Shutdown again the pc,plug in the Soundblaster,start the pc,install the software\driver,restart.



Finish and post back.
