Did media center used to provide you with a timeline slider while playing audio files?

I'd like to use Media Center for everything, but I keep using media player instead because then I can use a slider to change where I am in a song.

All I have are Fast Forward & Reverse buttons in MC. I think pressing them more than once speeds up the skip speed, but I'm not sure because it doesn't bother to tell tou what time multiplier you're running at.

Is there a screen / view in Media Center that does give you the slider? I've looked all over the place for it.

Many thanks,
Paulio

I do not think the Music player in Media Center had the bar.
I never use WMC for Music playback, but I did check it on my machine.

It doesn't have it either for Music, only for Video.
