What are the differences if any between G Chrome browser on Android devices and the one installed in W7, cause some URLs wont open on desktop but would open on Androids?

What URL's won't open on desktop? Possibly they're sites that will only display/ work correctly if they think you're using a mobile phone.

True they only open on Google Nexus G Chrome and not on W7 G Chrome browser.......any ideas how to fix the desktop browser?

Google Chrome problem

Well after taking that URL out of my Hosts file I could access it using any browser. I used Cyberfox (Firefox), Opera and another browser that acts as if it's a mobile phone, ipad, android device and so on.

Found this advice:

The only other thing I could suggest is export your bookmarks and fully remove Chrome then reboot and reinstall it to see if you get the same problem. If you like you could also install another browser for test purposes. This one is like Chrome but without the privacy and tracking issues:
