digital photo frames formatting

I plugged two digital photo frames and got a message that I need to format the drive. The I got the error "windows 7 was unable to complete the format". I've never seen this before Windows 7. Please help if you can.

I have seen this before on USB flash drives. I have just tried again with FAT32 or just FAT as the file system. You might try that and see if it works. Either one should be fine.

The times I had it happen to me were on OLD hardware. I had it happen on a Pentium 4 machine form 2005. I don't know if that's your problem....you might try it on a different computer.
