DirectX error message loading inquisition save file

Got an directx error message while loading into a dragon inquisition save file. I never had this problem before and i have played over 50+ hours on this game.

DirecX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("the applications device failed due to
badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design time issue
that should be investigated and fixed.") GPU: "Nvidia Geforce gtx 970", driver: 35286

If there is a configuration/settings file, backup somewhere and delete to see if game will recreate a default one.

You can also try to install the DirectX installer possibly in game/redist folder. Maybe it got corrupted somehow.

I tried again launching the game and loading save file, no error message. I did try installing direct x installer but it says i had up to date version so no need to update no need for install. Is this error message related directx on the game or on my system?

Maybe it was a glitch/bug of some sort. Try restarting PC and launching the game/loading save.
