Disable a key on MS Ergonomic 4000 keyboard

The MS software for this 4000 keyboard allows reassigning or disabling of some of the keys, but offers no such facility for the CTRL key. Because of an apparent problem that I have with the little finger on my right hand it often seems to not only strike the Shift key but also strikes the right CTRL key, which opens various windows depending on the key that is struck with my left hand, i.e. CTRL and then an F opens the Find window. Is there some method such as a registry change where I can disable this right CTRL key only? Thanks.

Im not exactly sure how to do it through windows, sorry.

BUT, as a quick fix until someone here posts an answer, you can always pry off that key to make it harder to press down on it

Thanks to both of you for the replies. Unfortunately things work only for the Windows Key, and don't apply to the CTRL key. I had tried Kirsch's suggestion, but used a toothpick wedge. I've improved on that a bit with a small piece of Fun Tack, an easily removed sort of putty, and it does the job and is easily removed.

Here is what you need. I used in the past to disable the num lock key, so that I wouldn't turn it off on accident.
