Disabled the typing after update

After recent windows 7 update, the laptop crashed but on auto repairs, it started working but couldn't type any letter/number in the MS word/excel or even in IE 10 browser / Google crome

Appreciate quick reply to set right..do I need to delete the update first:

Hello Sriram, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You could try doing a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before this issue to see if it may help undo it.
