I have an old (ancient) Dell XPS 410. Overnight, it failed to connect to various Windows (7) services - WLAN among them. I couldn't get any services to start, so I decided to take the easy way out, and do a system restore. In doing that, I discovered that all my restore points had disappeared, but two - because they were out of reach on an external drive. The two restore points that did exist were 3 years old. I figured to go for it anyway. Now, I wish I hadn't. I can't go back.
Ultimately, I'd like to restore to relatively recent date, then connect wirelessly. Until I do, this PC is all by itself.
