i've been using this 'fix' (it does increase fps) and i'll try the new one now.

Thanks. Like I said I can't speak on either one of those as I've not tried them; however if I had to try one, I would go with the TweakGuides one as this guy has proven himself with me in the past. I've actually used his tweak guide for Fallout 3 and it worked like a champ

Do let us know what you think since you've tried both.

yeah - the tweakguide guy is a bit of a guru.

his 'fix' works well, and gives a better graphical experience - more details are now visible compared to the d3d one.

changing the subject, anyone else doing any collecting?

yep - that's my teddy collection so far in my novac bedroom.

only one globe so far, found it real early on in goodsprings, but i haven't got so far yet - not even been to vegas...

Yeah, I'm thinking both ATI & Nvidia may provide driver updates for the game, though It may not help as the issues seem to be "game" related. We'll see.

managed to find a new teddy since the last screenshot double figures now! few other toys too. good job i've got two companions to do the heavy lifting.

need to do something about the rad poisoning though

Has this game got the same save issues as other 'Games for Windows Live' games, i.e. user not being able to manually copy/back-up saves? (Old saves don't work on new installs)

New Vegas uses STEAM, not GFWL.

If you have a legitimate copy of New Vegas, be it Digital Download or a retail Disc, you must use STEAM as it is the games DRM.

So everyone has a STEAM copy. If not ...... its not legit.

At launch there was a Save game problem causes by something in the STEAm Cloud, but it has since been patches and fixed.
