i'm currently running conelrad radio, the fixed d3d9.dll for ati, mtui and perk every level.

haven't seen the better performance one yet...don't think i need it.

I was using perk every level, then I reached the XP max soon after already, and never got to level up anymore. Took me a while to realize.

So I'm using levelupnolock and levelcap 100.

These are the ones I'm using ATM.

Night Vision Implant 1.4

Fellout is pretty cool. It makes the sky, and the lighting a little more vibrant. It also makes it so you cant see s%#t at night, so it a adds some extra realism to the environment. I disabled it though, as it's suspect to a performance drop on my machine. But it DID look cool.

i suppose you've tried verifying integrity of your game files in steam?

maybe a reinstall would help? backup saved games first!

sorry if i'm being obvious.

I've done the integrity check a number of times, also did the defragment cache file thing. And to be extra sure, tried updating my DX file, although DX came back and said what I knew.... I already have the latest version installed.

I also updated my video card drivers (i usually wait before moving to the latest ones) just to be sure it wasn't a video issue.

What I haven't done yet is reinstall the game, though if we reinstalled the game for every bug, we'd be reinstalling every hour of everyday :sarc:

Anyways I might give this a try as a last resort - after I talk to tech support.

Not meaning to offend anyone and this is just my opinion of this game.

It's by far the most buggy and poorly written and poorly coded game of all time. I also found it extremely boring and repetitive. I made it all the way to the end and I was left asking the question,...what was the point to all of this?

Sorry but I'll take a regular old FPS game anyday over this fiasco. And people said that Crysis was poorly coded LOL.

THE WHOLE GAME IS A BUGFEST!!! i was wondering when the outrage was gonna beggin. its seems everyone is just shruggin it off.

So.... we should all complain all day long about a few minor problems??? Yes, we know there are problems, we listed them. Now what??? Complain all day and all night long?

Outside of the microstutterig, which IS annoying, I personally don't think the game is as bad as you make it out to be. Perhaps that's why "everyone is just shruggin it off" ???

BTW.... Have you filed a complaint with Bethesda, filed a bug report???

My two cents

I now have to concede that this IS a poorly coded very buggy game. Worst then.... dare I say.....STALKER :shock:

The two issues Casino issues I have.....

1- Every time I enter the bath house at the Ultraluxe casino the game hard locks.

2- Entering the Gomorrah casino, I get no cut scene about giving up my weapons happens, my HUD display disappears, and I can’t move.

both of which requires a Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get out of is preventing me from completing side quests and has taken all the joy and fun out of the game so i've decided to shelve the game and move on the something else.

I did file a bug report over at Bethesda's forums (Hard lock at Gomorrah & Luxe Hotels - Bethesda Softworks Forums) and will call tech support when I finish this post, though I have no illusions of a solution coming from them.

Number 1 - Get the same thing. Not when I fist enter ,but to meet the informant waiting for him to walk all the way in, I can almost get to talk to him then it locks up. About the 4th time so far.

Event blames ntdll.dll for it.


Number 2 - Never get that at all.

As for #1 (bath house) - well I can talk to him and deal with the other stuff but then it hard locks.

As for #2 (Gomorrah) - It's strange cause the first time I went there, there was no problem. Now when I go there it's completely broken. Again, it became broken after meeting with Mr. House, so....

I called tech support on the issue and they acknowledge that there are issues in the strip. In fact they have reports that the game crashes on a lot of people when they first enter the strip! I was even asked about that before I could even explain my situation. So yeah, the game is borked around that area.

Anyways after being told I had to send them a dxdiag report, which I did, they tried to tell me my video card drivers was out of date - said I only had version 8.7 instead of 10.11 :huh: ????

After informing them that I had just udated the drivers, I then had to explain to them that though the latest Catalyst package is 10.11, the actual driver itself is 8.791, which is what the dxdiag info is providing.

After getting them straight on that fun fact there was nothing they could offer other than saying another patch will be released, but they didn't have a time frame.

I did remove and reinstall the game but the issues are still there. So now I’ll just wait for the patch

As far as the ntdll.dll - Just about anything can cause that so I'm not surprised to see it with a crashing game. Ntdll.dll - Unknown Hard Error Ntdll.dll Error - Fix Ntdll.dll - ModName Ntdll.dll

Doubt uninstalling and reinstalling will do squat to help. The game is riddled with buggy behavior.

At one point in time right after entering the East Gate with my two companions, I suddenly found myself completely invisible, floating above the street. I was a ghost, able to see my companions and everything. Floating about at will, lowering myself down to street level, then backing up to float above everyone, watching them peacefully and with content.

Yeah as we both suspected a reinstall did nothing. As for floating, I've had a few of those moments as well. What's cool is when my dog (Rex) floats at times.

Yep, this game is one giant bug fest. I posted over at bethesda that we were sold a beta game.

In Fallout 3, I thought Fellout was amazing. Wouldn't play wiithout it.
But in NV, there just seems to be something thats not right about the colors.
Might just be the current build, me, or my monitor setup .. I dont know.

At any count, I found URWL to be more suited to my tastes.
The nights are darker than vanilla, but not as dark as Fellout.
And day lighting looks better to me.At least at this point in thier devoplment.

Still keeping an eye on Fellout though.

I'm surprised that the Strip - which is the one area that everyone must visit - is the most buggiest area of the game.

lol, yeah. I'd vaguely heard stories about the Ultra-luxe shenanigans before I'd even entered the strip. Then I got to experience them myself. It was awesome

Move, lock, swear, restart - move a bit more, lock, swear a bit more, restart. Move further, lock, swear even harder, restart.

Finally get through talking to Chauncy (multiple locks and swears there) get out of the bath house, breathe a sigh of relief - hard lock in kitchen, RAGE.

Leave Ultra-luxe grumbling. *good times*

Unfortunately the majority of my current quests are strip related which makes think twice about playing.

Well at least you made it out. After talking to Chauncy and dealing with the other shenanigans I saved. Now when I restart from there I move about a foot before the game locks up again. Oh happy happy joy joy :sarc:

Right now I'm playing Metro 2033 so as not to break something fighting through the bugs of New Vegas.

Anyway I'm going out of town for a few days but when I come back I'll see if I can "save" my way out of the bath house

Just started playing the game a few days ago, runs well on my rig, but I have noticed some anomalies here and there. I haven't even looked into the mods yet, will probably do that after I make it through the game at least once. Damned happy I cannot take on a DC without dying, at least for now...

Black text on black bg makes it hard to read, Syg - (using the SF Black wide skin) - may I take the color out of your text in the prev. post?

Ahhh.... the old black background. Yes, I've tried it, hated it as it is hard to read. Sorry I didn't think too many people were using that version.

I usually play through at least once with no mods myself.

Except for DarnUI. This,IMHO, is a must even for the vanilla play through.
Default UI drives me nuts.

Lol it's the only BG that doesn't kill my eyes. I cannot stand dark text on light BGs....hence most websites kill my eyes....

Never played (or hell, even heard of) DarnUI...
