I have been getting a prompt to run a disk check every time I boot up. When I let disk check run, I am told that it cannot run due to an error with a recently installed software package.

After perusing the forums here (you all do a great job) I found one user with the same problem as me. His problem was solved by entering the command prompt screen and using chkdsk C:/F. I did this. Still my problem persists.

IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. Anyone have a similiar problem? Thank you for all of your help.

Going by the obvious, did you actually install some software recently? If you have system restore running, try restoring to a point when the problem did not exist.
